'Overflowing Bins And Litter' Prompt Placer County To Increase Trash Service In North Lake Tahoe
PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) — Placer County is increasing trash service as garbage piles up in North Lake Tahoe communities.
Officials say the trash is overflowing in bins and litter is all over outdoor areas.
They are installing new bins in Kings Beach and adding additional pick-up services in Tahoe City.
Additionally, the county is working to implement a "North Tahoe ambassador program" to work with volunteers and address the trash issue.
Increased service in the region started last Friday.
